On September 6, 2023, at 8:00 AM, thousands gathered at the west steps of the California State Capitol to kick off National Recovery Month. The event featured the annual recovery walk and roll, banner contest, Wilton Rancheria, Miwok Land Acknowledgment, all of which saw a fantastic turnout and participation. It was a monumental success, with two large provider tents offering valuable information and networking opportunities. The provider booths were sold out, emphasizing the event’s popularity and impact. An official resolution recognizing National Recovery Month was presented, and the west steps witnessed a large crowd that came together and cheered.
