Looking Ahead to the 35th Annual Recovery Happens at the Capitol – September 1, 2027

First, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the 34th Annual Recovery Happens on September 2, 2026, such a memorable day. To everyone who attended, marched, carried a banner, staffed an exhibit table, or supported the event as a sponsor: your presence filled California State Capitol Park with hope, resilience, and community, and showed once again that recovery happens.

Now, mark your calendars. The 35th Annual Recovery Happens returns to the California State Capitol on Wednesday, September 1, 2027. Every September since 1992, CCAPP has sponsored National Recovery Month at the State Capitol to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders and to celebrate the people who recover.

Whether you are a longtime supporter or joining us for the first time, we invite you to be part of the day. Stay tuned for details on sponsorship opportunities, exhibit tables, and the full program.
